About the job

As a Recovery (PACU) Nurse, you will monitor and care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. You will develop advanced skills in acute care, pain management, and emergency interventions, ensuring patient safety during the post-operative phase.

Training Details:

Full Dutch course in the Netherlands for 4 months.
You will start working as soon as you finish the Dutch course and before your registration in the role as a VIG in a hospital until you get your dutch registration (4 to 6 months).
Preparatory Work: 3 months — initial onboarding and preparation for the role.
Study Period: 18 months — duration depends on the individual’s learning pace; some candidates may complete it faster.
Post-Training Work: 2 years — candidates are expected to work in the same department after completing the training.

Requirements
  • EU citizenship
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree diploma is required.
  • You have good English proficiency (minimum B2 level)
  • Strong motivation to learn Dutch (B2 level or higher needed to be achieved).
  • A minimum of 4 years of total experience working in a hospital is required.
  • A minimum Minimum 2 year of experience in a hospital’s surgical, nurse, Operating Room (OR) / Surgical Suite Acute Admission Unit (AAU) / Acute Medical Unit (AMU Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room (ER) Cardiac Emergency Unit (CEU) / Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medium Care Unit (MCU) Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
  • International experience or prior work abroad is considered an advantage.
  • You are professional, independent, and committed to continuously upgrading your skills and knowledge within your profession.
  • You always prioritize patient care and strive to deliver the highest quality nursing care.
  • You are assertive and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Willing to work and live in the Netherlands long-term (minimum of 5 years).
  • Availability to start this program in March 2026
